Back in 2022, the Children’s Activity Business Club was still the “new kid” on the block – and we ended our first year with a pretty unforgettable moment: winning New Business of the Year at the Family Network Awards.

This award celebrates businesses less than a year old, recognising not just the idea, but the hard graft it takes to turn it into something real. For me, that first year was all about proving that a business support network for children’s activity providers could be practical, straight-talking, and get real results.

Starting a business is never smooth sailing. There were the late nights mapping out training modules, the endless tweaking of systems, and the moments of wondering if anyone would actually join. But there was also the excitement of every new member, every “I’m fully booked” message, and every small win that reminded me exactly why I’d started.

Winning this award so early on felt like a huge nod that we were on the right track. It showed that you don’t need decades behind you to make an impact, you just need a clear mission, the right people around you, and the commitment to show up consistently.

Fast forward to today, and the Business Club has grown into a thriving community where providers can get step-by-step training, live support, and a network that genuinely has their back. That award was an early sign we were building something that mattered.
