Why Testimonials Are Important for Your Business: The Power of Social Proof

The Power of Social Proof

Why Testimonials Are Important for Your Children’s Activity Business

If you’re not sure why testimonials are important for your children’s activity business, let’s take a look at the power of social proof. Social proof is the idea that people will do what others around them are doing. If we see other people using a product or service and enjoying it, we’re more likely to want to try it out ourselves

Customer testimonials and reviews are valuable assets for any business. They not only provide valuable feedback about your products or services, but they can also help to drive sales and build trust with potential customers. Social proof is a powerful marketing tool, and customer testimonials can be a highly effective form of social proof. In today’s digital age, people are increasingly turning to online reviews when making purchasing decisions. By collecting customer testimonials and sharing them on your website or social media platforms, you can quickly build a base of satisfied customers who are willing to endorse your business to others. In addition to generating sales, customer testimonials can also help you to improve your products or services by providing honest feedback about what is working well and what could be improved.

If you’re not already using customer testimonials as a marketing tool, now is the time to start. If you have high retention rates at your classes then start with those loyal customers.

There are many ways to collect customer testimonials, here’s my 10 tips to get you started.

  1. Give customers lots of options on different platforms to leave you a review. Don’t pigeon hole yourself to just collecting reviews on Facebook for example.
  2. Make it easy for your customers to leave you a review. Put it right in front of them i.e. QR code.
  3. Give them an incentive for writing you a review for example ‘Be in with a chance to win’ …
  4. Create assets like ‘Love it, Like it, or hate it? Like what we do, leave us a review and us them in your social media content.
  5. Say thank you to your customers in person at classes and on social media and ask for the review.
  6. Ask them directly at classes, via email or even text if you know them.
  7. Give call to actions, people like to to be told what to do.
  8. Send out a survey to your customers to get feedback.
  9. Follow up with all customers i.e. birthday parties, schools or nurseries.
  10. Include a review link in your email communication.
