Running a children’s activity business can feel isolating.
From the outside, it looks joyful. Colourful classes, happy children, proud parents. But behind the scenes, many providers are juggling bookings, confidence wobbles, pricing decisions, marketing fatigue and the constant question of “Am I doing this right?”
This is exactly why community matters.
In my podcast episode Mindset Matters: Find Your Cheerleaders, the conversation turned to something often underestimated in business growth – cheerleaders. Not hype-for-the-sake-of-it cheerleaders, but the kind who understand your world, your challenges and your goals, and back you anyway.
Because when you’re building a business that relies on you showing up with energy, creativity and confidence, the people around you matter more than you think.
Why Cheerleaders Change Everything
A cheerleader isn’t just someone who claps when things go well.
They’re the people who remind you of your progress when you’re focused on what still feels hard. They’re the ones who say “keep going” when you’re tempted to retreat. They challenge you kindly, celebrate your wins properly, and normalise the ups and downs that come with running a children’s activity business.
For many providers, especially those running solo or part time, there’s no team meeting or office chat to lean on. Decisions are made alone. Doubts are carried alone. Wins are often brushed off and moved past too quickly.
Being part of a community of like-minded professionals changes that.
Suddenly, you’re not the only one navigating cancellations, launches, quiet periods or big ambitions. You’re surrounded by people who get it. People who’ve been there. People who are one step ahead, right alongside you, or just starting out too.
That kind of shared experience builds confidence faster than any course or checklist ever could.
Collaboration Over Competition
One of the most powerful shifts that happens inside a supportive community is perspective.
Instead of seeing others as competition, you start to see them as collaborators. Sources of insight. Proof of what’s possible. A sounding board when you’re unsure, and a safety net when you try something new.
Inside the Children’s Activity Club, this is intentional.
Members are encouraged to share honestly, ask questions without judgement, and learn from each other’s experiences. You’re not just joining for expert coaching, although that matters. You’re joining a network where support flows both ways.
That sense of belonging has a real impact. It builds resilience. It helps you make braver decisions. It keeps you moving forward on the days when motivation dips.
Because growth doesn’t happen in isolation. Confidence doesn’t either.
Sometimes, the difference between staying stuck and taking the next step is simply having someone in your corner, reminding you that you’re capable, you’re not behind, and you don’t have to figure it all out alone.
If this sounds like the kind of support you’ve been missing, the Children’s Activity Business Club currently operates a waiting list. Join it to be notified when membership opens again.
