There’s a moment in many established businesses where things are working… but they’re also tiring.
The clients are loyal.
The classes are full.
The brand is recognised.
But the business still relies on you showing up — early mornings, evenings, delivery after delivery.
That’s exactly where Rose Gibson found herself.
Rose is the founder of Baby Beats, a business she built from her living room into a national brand supporting women postnatally, alongside children’s and adult fitness programmes. She also runs a franchise business — so this isn’t the story of someone just starting out.
This is the story of an experienced founder asking a smarter question:
“How do I make this business work for me long-term?”
A Business That Worked… But Depended on Her Time
For over 16 years, Rose had been running adult fitness classes that just worked.
She had:
- A loyal audience
- Proven delivery
- A model she could rely on
But she was also realistic.
There would come a point where:
- She didn’t want to leave the house at 6am
- She didn’t want to deliver evenings forever
- She didn’t want her income tied solely to her physical presence
Not because the business was broken — but because she wanted options.
Dipping a Toe Into Something New
Rose’s first step wasn’t a perfectly polished product.
She joined the Race to Recurring Revenue challenge with an idea — exploring a menopause-focused programme and looking at how she could diversify her income without ripping everything up.
What happened instead was more powerful.
The challenge didn’t give her a fixed answer — it expanded her thinking.
She began looking at her existing knowledge, audience and experience differently.
Not:
“What new thing do I need to create?”
But:
“What do I already know — and who would pay for continued access to that?”
Why She Committed to One to Many
Committing to One to Many wasn’t a light decision.
It was a financial investment.
It was a time commitment.
And it required her to show up consistently.
But there was something else at play.
As a franchisor and business owner, Rose was used to carrying the weight alone. Business leadership can be lonely — even when the brand looks successful from the outside.
Joining One to Many gave her:
- A structured process
- A supportive peer group
- A sense that she didn’t have to figure everything out alone
And importantly, it let her experience how I work, how the group dynamic felt, and whether this way of building business suited her.
Calm Consistency Beats Hustle
One thing that really stood out about Rose’s journey was how calm it was.
She didn’t rush.
She didn’t panic.
She didn’t try to do everything at once.
She followed the process, stayed consistent, caught up on replays when needed (even during holidays), and made a clear decision:
“If I’m investing, I’m committing.”
And that’s where the shift happened.
The Turning Point: Building One Simple System
The biggest breakthrough for Rose came when everything moved into one joined-up system.
Instead of juggling multiple tools, ideas and platforms, she could finally see:
- How the audience led to the offer
- How the offer led to recurring income
- How the delivery could stay light-touch
That clarity gave her the confidence to build.
What She Built (And Why It Works)
Rose didn’t build a big, complicated membership.
She built a low-touch, high-value recurring offer for people who already trusted her.
Here’s what that looks like:
- A membership for existing clients
- Short 20-minute sessions (based on audience feedback)
- One video uploaded every two weeks
- £100 per year or £10 per month
- Soft-launched — no big hype
- Integrated into her wider franchise model
Today, the membership has around 90+ members.
It takes roughly one hour per month to run.
And it generates a few hundred pounds of recurring income — quietly, consistently, in the background.
As Rose put it:
“For one hour a month, it pays for my food shopping for my family.”
Why This Matters More Than Ever
This isn’t about building an empire overnight.
It’s about:
- Creating stability
- Protecting your energy
- Giving yourself options
Rose now has an offer she can:
- Run while on holiday
- Use to support clients when she’s unavailable
- Grow steadily without pressure
And the content compounds over time.
The Mindset Shift That Changed Everything
One of the most powerful moments in Rose’s journey didn’t come from a training module — it came from saying yes.
She unexpectedly won a place on a last-minute business retreat in Malta. Two days’ notice. No long planning. Just a decision to step into a room with people playing at a different level.
That experience reinforced something important:
Growth doesn’t come from doing more.
It comes from thinking longer-term.
Her Advice to Anyone Sitting on the Fence
Rose is honest about this:
One to Many isn’t for people chasing quick wins.
It’s for people who are willing to:
- Commit
- Feel uncomfortable at times
- Build something steadily
- Play the long game
If you’re a go-getter who’s ready to put the work in, it gives you a foundation you can build on for years — not weeks.
